INGREDIENTS REQUIRED FOR CHOCOLATE GUJIYA RECIPE / INDIAN HOLI FESTIVAL 2018

FOR GUJIYA :-

1 cup = whole wheat flour
Salt according to your taste
1 Tablespoon = ghee
1/2 Cup = milk
Oil for frying

FOR STUFFING :-
1/2 Cup = sugar
1/2 Cup = dry fruits ( chopped )
50 grams = khoya ( Mawa )
1 Teaspoon = Chocolate chips
1/4 Teaspoon = cardamom powder

METHOD OF CHOCOLATE GUJIYA RECIPE

1. Mix all the above ingredients under the gujiya with Chocolate chips. And make a soft dough, roll out small Puri’s, keep it aside.

2. Now prepation of stuffing.

3. Take sugar, cardamom powder, coconut in a pan on low flame, cook until it become dry.

4. Now add Mawa or khoya and stir until the coconut and khoya combine well. Lastly ad dry fruits and Chocolate chips and mix well.

5. Now switch off pan and keep that mixture aside to cool down.

6. Now make the dough for the pastry crust for the gujiya recipe.

7. You have to combine whole wheat flour, ghee and salt together in a mixing bowl.

8. Mix the ghee into flour with your fingers until the mixture resembles a coarse meal.

9. Sprinkle milk into the crumbly dough and with your hands push the dough from the sides to the middle of the bowl to from a ball that holds together.

( Notice:- you have to add only little bit water at a time, and not allowing the dough to become soggy. )

10. Knead well with your hands until the dough become into a firm ball of dough.

11. Once reated, make 20 small portions of the gujiya dough and roll into a small 3 inch circle.

12. Take each rolled dough and place a little of the coconut and Chocolate mixture in the center and fold into half. Must seal the edges firmly.

13. Start heating oil in a kadhai, and fry the gujiya till they turn golden in color.

14. After tat switch off flame, and remove gujiya and serve with Chocolate with hot masala chai during tea time.
