INGREDIENTS REQUIRED FOR THANDAI RECIPE / INDIAN HOLI FESTIVAL 2018

1/4 cup = Almonds
1/4 cup = pistachios
1/4 cup = cashews
1/2 Tablespoon = fennel seeds
1/2 Tablespoon = khus khus
1/4 inch = cinnamon
10-11 = nos pepper corns
1/8 Tablespoon = grated nutmeg
1/4 cup = milk ( for girnding )
1.5 litres = milk
1 Cup = brown sugar
1 large = pinch saffron
1/4 Tablespoon = cardamom powder
1/4 Tablespoon = essence

 

METHOD OF MAKING THANDAI RECIPE / INDIAN HOLI FESTIVAL 2018

  1. Take cashews, almonds, pista, khus khus, fennel, cinnamon, pepper corn, nutmeg blend together with 1/4 cup milk.
  2. Now start boiling milk, and add sugar, cardamom powder and saffron threads.
  3. After some time it turn yellow in color, then add dry fruits, pasta, and rose essence.
  4. You have to mix it well and keep boiling on medium heat for around 10-15 minutes.
  5. When it start reducing, switch off flame and let it cool down, and SERVE
